More than a ranking

In the AD Scientific Index ranking of countries by scientific productivity, Uzbekistan was only in 92nd place out of 219 in the world

According to the AD Scientific Index , Uzbekistan is ranked 73rd out of 219 countries. According to experts, there are 6,767 thousand scientists and 75 institutions in Uzbekistan where scientific work is carried out.

Let us explain: AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index) is an international index that ranks scientists, research centers and universities by their scientific productivity and the quality of their publications. Unlike other indices, AD Scientific Index not only takes into account citation rates, but also evaluates the scientific work of each scientist individually.

According to the rating data for Uzbekistan, the best university in the country is considered to be the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. The second and third places are occupied by the Central Asian University and the Andijan State Medical Institute.

Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina,

Ulugbek Astronomical Institute of Uzbekistan,

Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute of Tashkent region,

Samarkand State Medical Institute,

Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers,

Tashkent State Dental Institute.

Among the CIS countries, Uzbekistan took fifth place after Russia, Ukraine*, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Below Uzbekistan in the rating were Moldova (95th), Armenia (99th), Azerbaijan (101st), Kyrgyzstan (120th) and Tajikistan (151st place).

The ranking with the best results is opened by the United States, Great Britain and Australia, and closed by Sao Tome and Principe, Tuvalu and Kiribati.
